Wikimedia DC is beginning a pilot program to provide editors with funding to buy books. You can apply for up to $300 from March 28 through April 4, 2016 for the second round of grants; future rounds will be announced later. Who is eligible: Anyone in the United States is eligible. You do not have to be a member of Wikimedia DC. You must be an active Wikipedia editor; participating on English Wikipedia is not required. If you applied before, you are encouraged to apply again.

What we can provide: We will provide you your requested books to use in improving Wikipedia!

Process: You fill out the application here. We respond and let you know if your grant request is accepted, waitlisted, or rejected. If you are accepted, we will then ask for your name and address so we can send books to you. We will then periodically ask you for feedback regarding the grant and regarding what you have accomplished.

Reporting: 3 months after receiving your books, you will be expected to submit to us a report verifying that you received your books and showing what you have accomplished with the books. We will contact you with more information about reporting if you are selected for a grant.
