The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service (USDA ARS) and Wikimedia DC invite Wikipedians of all levels of experience to participate in this Farm-to-Fork Sustainability Edit-a-thon. Topics will include plant and animal production, pest management, bioproducts, and agroecosystem conservation practices. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to meet ARS scientists, librarians, and data science experts. Many of the featured artists came of age during the civil rights era and channeled the period's social activism into assertive aesthetic statements that announced a new political and cultural consciousness among people of Mexican descent in the United States. Learn how to edit and create new Wikipedia articles in this online editing workshop and work to amplify and expand on articles about Chicanx women and LGBTQ+ artists. All levels of technological proficiency welcome.
