The Smithsonian Women in Science Edit-a-Thon, held in celebration of Women's History Month, will provide attendees a chance to work with Smithsonian archivists to improve content, and learn more about the resources of the Smithsonian Archives. Wikipedians of all experience levels are invited to work together and independently to document content related to women in science who are related to the Smithsonian Institution, including naturalists, zoologists, botanists, and paleontologists. Unique online and offline resources from the Smithsonian Archives and Smithsonian Libraries will be available for attendee use. |

Wikimania 2012

Wikimania is the annual international conference of the Wikimedia community. Wikimania allows the Wikimedia community and the general public to learn about and share their experiences with free knowledge initiatives all over the world. For 2012, Wikimania is being organized by Wikimedia DC; the main conference will be held on July 12–15, 2012, with special pre-conference events beginning on July 10.
