Get involved

Whether you're a free culture movement veteran, a newcomer interested in participating for the first time, or simply curious about our mission and programs, it's easy to get involved with Wikimedia DC.

  • Become a member. Joining Wikimedia DC is one of the easiest ways to support our mission. Membership is open to everyone, and several convenient registration options are available.
  • Connect with us online. The best way to stay informed about ongoing programs and upcoming events is to subscribe to the wikimedia-dc mailing list. You can also read our blog, or follow us via social media; we are @wikimediadc on Twitter and wikimediadc on Facebook.
  • Participate in local events. Wikimedia DC hosts a variety of educational and outreach events, from small workshops to large conferences. Most events are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
  • Apply for a grant. Wikimedia DC provides small grants to individuals, community groups, and nonprofit organizations to fund activities that align with our mission.
  • Donate. Your contribution will help provide critical funding for our educational and outreach programs.
