Resolution #1

The Election Policy is amended as follows:

1. The following text is added as Article III, Paragraph 4:

   4. Reporting. The Election Committee shall report on the results of each election in the form of a statement as described in Article VII, Paragraph 5 of this Policy, and shall publish said statement, the ballot delivered to the members, and any exhibits to said ballot following the conclusion of the election.

2. The title of Article IV is replaced with "CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY".
3. The title of Article V is replaced with "CANDIDATE DISCLOSURES".
4. In Article VII, Paragraph 1, the text "twenty-four (24) hours" is replaced with the text "forty-eight (48) hours".
5. In Article VII, Paragraph 2, the text "twenty-four (24) hours" is replaced with the text "forty-eight (48) hours".
6. In Article VII, Paragraph 5, the text "forty-eight (48) hours" is replaced with the text "seventy-two (72) hours".

Notes

The following text is not part of the proposed resolution:

• In III.3, make explicit that there is an expectation that the election committee produces a certain kind of report after an election: the Ballot, Exhibits, and Results as shown on Meetings_(2019–2020)
• article VII -- in VII.1, VII.2 and VII.5, give committee a bit more time just to be realistic -- I suggest 48 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours
• Point to where the quorum is specified, for speedy clarity. It is in the bylaws, article V section 5. A reasonable practice after an election whose results do not meet the quorum is to recruit new members and quickly run a new election.
• ARTICLE IV - ELIGIBILITY - change to CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY. The eligibility for the Election Committee is discussed in an earlier section.
