John Sadowski

John P. Sadowski, Ph.D. is a chemist specializing in the effects of new technologies on worker health, with a research background in DNA nanotechnology. He joined the board of Wikimedia DC in September 2014, served as Treasurer from October 2016 until January 2022, and is currently Vice President.

His activities with Wikimedia DC have included organizing edit-a-thons with professional scientific societies, and serving as the U.S. coordinator for the Wiki Science Competition. He also coordinated the chapter's positions on public policy topics such as orphan works reform and the public domain status of California state government works. He contributes to Wikipedia mainly on the topics of nanotechnology, biophysics, science policy, and local history.
