Resolution: Support of Wikimedia projects

The Wiki Society of Washington, DC, although an independent organization, as an official Wikimedia chapter, supports Wikimedia Foundation projects and their communities, including but not limited to project contributors and users in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and West Virginia, and promotes the projects as a means to collect, develop, and disseminate educational content under a free license or in the public domain. In working towards these goals and providing support to the projects, it's crucial that the Society maintain a good working relationship with other Wikimedia chapters, the Wikimedia Foundation, and most importantly the Wikipedia and other Wikimedia project communities whom we exist to support.

Resolution: Board members and candidates shall be in good standing with Wikimedia project communities

In keeping good relations between the Society and the Wikimedia project communities, Wiki Society of Washington, DC Board of Directors members shall be in good standing with the Wikimedia project communities and not subject to current arbitration case block or ban sanctions, or other community ban.

Resolution: Requirement for board members and candidates to disclose Wikimedia project username(s)

As the Society's role as a Wikimedia chapter is to support the Wikimedia project communities, a board candidate and board member's track record as part of Wikimedia projects is relevant. Board candidates shall disclose their Wikimedia username(s) to the membership as part of their candidate statements, and board members shall disclose their Wikimedia username(s) on their Wikimedia DC wiki user page.

Resolution: Identification of board candidates

Wiki Society of Washington, DC board of directors candidates shall disclose their real names in their candidate statements, and provide the election committee with identification, which may include proof that such user is at least 18 years of age.
