Wikimedia DC holds a variety of public events, including training sessions and editing workshops, to increase awareness of our mission and build interest in contributing to free knowledge projects.
In addition to social meetups held every month, we also hold bi-monthly WikiSalons, where anyone, newcomer or experienced Wikipedian, can sit and discuss the Wikimedia projects. By holding regular social events for Wikipedia enthusiasts in the region, our goal is to build a community around Wikipedia, so that editing Wikipedia may become a more enjoyable experience.
