About us
60x60px Wikimedia District of Columbia is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the advancement of general knowledge and the collection, development, and dissemination of educational content under a free license or in the public domain. WM-DC hosts programs in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the states of Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia. WM-DC is a chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, and supports the work of volunteers on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects, along with numerous other free knowledge projects.

Current programs
We are currently pursuing collaborative outreach programs with a number of scientific, cultural, and educational institutions: "Wikipedians-in-Residence" Library Lab - At the Martin Luther King Jr. DC Public Library Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors
