Social events
Wikimedia DC held four WikiSalons during this period, on July 24, August 21, September 5, and September 26. WikiSalons are informal events that give Wikipedia enthusiasts the opportunity to meet each other and to discuss and edit Wikipedia. At the September 26 WikiSalon, for example, several participants worked on the "w:Government procurement in the United States" article, in light of the impending government shutdown.
