Description of purpose
Please tell us a little about the project or activity for which you are requesting funding. Please provide enough detail to allow us to evaluate how your request aligns with our charitable mission. We are going to hold an edit-a-thon on June 21st from 10am-4pm focused on our scientific field notes jointly held by the Smithsonian Institution Archives and National Museum of Natural History. The field notes document the collection of specimen and record important historic, environmental data. We will hold an edit-a-thon related to our material and will include a behind-the-scenes tour, transcription lab, and editing session.
