Resolution: Support of Wikimedia projects
The Wiki Society of Washington, DC, although an independent organization, as an official Wikimedia chapter, supports Wikimedia Foundation projects and their communities, including but not limited to project contributors and users in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and West Virginia, and promotes the projects as a means to collect, develop, and disseminate educational content under a free license or in the public domain. In working towards these goals and providing support to the projects, it's crucial that the Society maintain a good working relationship with other Wikimedia chapters, the Wikimedia Foundation, and most importantly the Wikipedia and other Wikimedia project communities whom we exist to support.
