Description of purpose

Please tell us a little about the project or activity for which you are requesting funding. Please provide enough detail to allow us to evaluate how your request aligns with our charitable mission.

(5) What is the purpose for which the funding will be used?
We are hosting an all day meetup/training/edit-a-thon at the National Museum of Natural History on October 12 as part of "Wikipedia Loves Libraries." The event runs from 9:30-5:00, so we would like to be able to include catered refreshments (breakfast, snacks, and drinks) for up to 40 attendees and volunteers.
(6) How does this purpose align with our mission?
This is an outreach event that promotes cultivation of new/existing editors, and deepened relationships between Wikimedians and the GLAM community.
