Many local and national environmental justice women activists are not represented among Wikipedia's many biographies.

The theme for Women’s History Month this year at Georgetown University is “It’s all the Rage,” where we will engage feminist rage and emotion from intersectional lenses.
Did you know that only 15% of contributors to Wikipedia are women? Did you know that women only appear in just over 20% of all images of human beings on Wikimedia Commons? Did you know efforts are happening around the world to address the “gender gap” on Wikipedia?
Join the Georgetown community to help close this gender gap on Wikipedia by increasing the representation of underrepresented groups — in both Wikipedia content and contributors — on topics such as women in politics, women in STEM, and women in the arts. There will be hands-on training provided by representatives from Wikimedia DC.
No Wikipedia editing experience necessary.

The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum is working to change that and we need you to help share the stories of women who ensured the success of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and leaders in the banking industry who expanded services for women.
This event will have two parts:
Getting started with Wikipedia edits: 11 am - 12 pm
Wikipedia edit-a-thon: 12 pm - 2 pm
Join in for one or both sessions, but new editors are encouraged to attend the introductory session at 11 am.
