Wells Fargo can make international wire transfers from the Wiki bank account. It takes a substantial visit and $40. Some of the specification ingredients include:

  • SWIFT bank identifier code = SWIFT BIC, an 8 or 11 character alphanumeric code that identifies a financial institution; the recipient bank
  • IRC = International Routing Code ; a Canadian version is called Canadian Payments Association Routing Number
  • CLABE = Mexican bank identification, 18 chars, added to the "US Beneficiary bank" to convey the eventual destination. Transfers to Mexico de facto go through Wells Fargo in NYC, then to the CLABE-identified bank in Mexico
  • IBAN = Intl Bank Account Number ; swift.com is said to have an IBAN registry
  • IFSC = Indian Financial System Code - an 11 character code identifying a bank branch to receive the wire transfer
