Description of purpose
Please tell us a little about the project or activity for which you are requesting funding. Please provide enough detail to allow us to evaluate how your request aligns with our charitable mission.
- (5) What is the purpose for which the funding will be used?
- Quick-start funding for Cascadia Wikimedians User Group. We are reqesting expedited funding because we have a coupon for 50% off of the first 6 months of the accounting software that we intend to use. The coupon expires January 31.
- (6) How does this purpose align with our mission?
- Cascadia Wikimedians User Group intends to be a nonprofit, educational, regional affiliate of the Wikimedia movement in Oregon, Washington State, and British Columbia. For more information, please see our goals and Annual Plan which we are currently discussing: [1]

- I need to know that a commitment has been made by January 31st to reimburse the expenses. I am willing to spend funds personally and be reimbursed later if I have a commitment that the funds will be reimbursed in a reasonably timely manner.

Approximate budget breakdown follows:
- Two months of Xero subscription, after discount, plus tax: $33
- Actual cost for Feb: $14.03 + 9.5% sales tax = $15.36
- Actual cost for March: $15 + 9.5% sales tax = $16.43
- Actual total: $31.79
- Note: waiting to verify and pay sales tax until online tax reporting account is activated by the state Department of Revenue
