Wikimedia DC supports the Senate's proposal to bring back the open-internet rules as they were at the beginning of 2018 by applying the Congressional Review Act to roll back the FCC's recent changes.

It is important not to allow providers of Internet service not to discriminate among web sites by blocking them or constraining their speed on the basis of content. They should constrain content only for safety and security, or to manage congestion. The proposed rollback of changed regulations will improve the situation by preventing ISPs from doing the wrong thing here.

A vote in the Senate is expected around the end of May.
