• 1. What copyright public policy advocacy reforms have you pursued, and what are the motives for pursuing those changes in your community?

• Public statements and official comments regarding orphan works
• Input to California state regarding copyright?
• We signed on to a petition to support copyright exceptions to allow GLAMs to make backups Internal:Public Policy/Allowing digital backups by GLAMs (June 2020)
• Public domain day -- new works from 1923 are freed from copyright. Details: [1], [2], [3]. We co-organized a forum at American University's law school with AU's PIJIP program to discuss copyright changes expanding the public domain and new works becoming copyright-free as of January 1. (Jan 2019)
• PBM took CopyrightX, perhaps in 2018 or 2019
• Presentation at Wikimania (Oct 8 2016)?

• May 5, 2018: Wikimedia DC statement supporting Senate action to restore Net Neutrality‎‎
• March 2014, visited Congress?
• The chapter held events at Cato Institute, the Sunlight Foundation and American University's Washington College of Law

• 3. What would have helped you - what support would you have wanted from WMF, and what support would you have wanted from other Affiliates?

• 4. How, if at all, did you collaborate with other organizations to help advocate for copyright reform in your community?

• 5. What challenges, if any, do you face when building partnerships with other organizations interested in advancing copyright reforms?

• Mainly time and expertise. We expect to naturally align most of the time library advocates, Internet Archive, EFF, Open Data advocates, Open Government advocates, etc.
