We signed on to a petition to support copyright exceptions to allow GLAMs to make backups Internal:Public Policy/Allowing digital backups by GLAMs (June 2020)
Public domain day -- new works from 1923 are freed from copyright. Details: [1], [2], [3]. We co-organized a forum at American University's law school with AU's PIJIP program to discuss copyright changes expanding the public domain and new works becoming copyright-free as of January 1. (Jan 2019)

Mainly time and expertise. We expect to naturally align most of the time library advocates, Internet Archive, EFF, Open Data advocates, Open Government advocates, etc.
