Description of purpose
Please tell us a little about the project or activity for which you are requesting funding. Please provide enough detail to allow us to evaluate how your request aligns with our charitable mission.
- (5) What is the purpose for which the funding will be used?
- We are holding an edit-a-thon on women scientists for Women's History Month (date TBD) in March. We would like to host Wikipedians for an 8 hour day to work on articles about women scientists who are underrepresented on Wikipedia.
- (6) How does this purpose align with our mission?
- This event would increase the GLAM collaborations and give WIkipedians an opportunity to see an archive behind-the-scenes. We would provide space, cultural heritage archive access, and experts in the field of American and Science History. This event will also increase articles about women on Wikipedia.
