Reimbursement

Individuals may seek reimbursement from Wikimedia District of Columbia for expenses incurred in connection with an official organization activity, or for an expense done on behalf of the organization. Note that all reimbursements must be approved before they can be disbursed. The expense reimbursement policy describes in full the rules and procedures governing expense reimbursement.

Prohibited requests

Wikimedia District of Columbia will reject reimbursement requests that would use donor funds inappropriately or would jeopardize its status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. This includes expenses related to political activities and electioneering, or personal expenses not covered by a per diem arrangement. Conflict-of-interest provisions also apply, e.g. if someone bought a product from a business they own.
